Working Principle and Structure Analysis of Cryogenic Liquid Oxygen Storage Tanks

Company News · 2026-10-16 08:11:22

Cryogenic liquid oxygen storage tank is one of the core products of Liaoyang Jinding Cryogenic Equipment Co., Ltd., adopting double-layer vacuum powder insulation structure, widely used in steel, chemical, medical, electronics and other industries.

1. Working Principle

The liquid oxygen tank is a double-layer cylindrical structure. The inner tank is made of stainless steel (S30408) for storing low-temperature liquid oxygen; the outer shell is a carbon steel vessel; the interlayer is filled with perlite and evacuated to high vacuum, forming an efficient insulation layer to minimize cold loss.

2. Main Structural Components

1. Inner tank and outer shell: bearing low temperature and working pressure
2. Insulation layer: high vacuum + perlite, daily evaporation rate ≤0.3%
3. Safety devices: safety valve, rupture disc, pressure gauge
4. Liquid level measurement: liquid level gauge displays the liquid level in the tank
5. Vaporizer interface: connects to ambient air vaporizer for gas supply

3. Common Parameters

Volume: 5-200m³ Working pressure: 0.2-1.6MPa
Design temperature: -196℃ Insulation method: vacuum powder
