A liquid oxygen tank is a core low-temperature pressure vessel for storing liquid oxygen. The selection of pressure level directly affects gas supply safety, supporting equipment and long-term operating costs. Many buyers only focus on volume while ignoring the matching of pressure parameters. Common pressure grades for liquid oxygen tanks include low pressure and medium pressure. 0.8MPa and 1.6MPa are widely adopted in industrial projects. Low-pressure tanks are suitable for conventional continuous gas supply with vaporization and pressure regulation systems at the rear. They feature lighter weight, lower procurement cost and stable evaporation loss. Medium-pressure tanks provide relatively high outlet pressure, ideal for long-distance pipelines with large pressure drop or direct high-pressure supply.
Medical liquid oxygen tanks follow separate specifications. Besides pressure parameters, they have mandatory requirements for inner wall degreasing, cleanliness, safety accessories and inspection standards. Ordinary industrial tanks cannot be used instead. Medical projects should adopt special tanks compliant with medical oxygen standards, together with safety assemblies such as safety valves, pressure gauges and liquid level gauges for regular verification.
When selecting models, the pressure bearing capacity of downstream vaporizers and pressure regulating valves must be considered. The maximum working pressure of the tank shall not exceed the rated pressure of rear equipment. Higher pressure grades also bring stricter requirements on manufacturing, supervision and annual inspection regulated by special equipment authorities.
Liaoyang Jinding Low Temperature Equipment Co., Ltd. can customize liquid oxygen tanks with proper pressure grades according to working conditions, pipeline distance and industries, balancing safety, stability and economy.
