The safety valve of cryogenic storage tanks is a key device ensuring safe operation of pressure vessels, and regular calibration and maintenance are crucial.
According to TSG 21 "Regulations for Regular Inspection of Pressure Vessels", safety valves should generally be calibrated at least once a year. For tanks with stable working conditions that have not exceeded their service period, the calibration cycle can be extended to 3 years upon application by the user and approval by the inspection organization.
1. Set pressure (opening pressure) calibration
2. Seal performance test
3. Reseating pressure check
4. Seal (lead) integrity check
1. Keep the safety valve clean, prevent corrosion and icing
2. Perform a manual lifting and discharge test monthly to check whether the disc moves flexibly
3. Immediately stop use for repair upon leakage, corrosion or seal damage
4. No shut-off valve may be installed in front of the safety valve
Safety valve calibration must be carried out by a qualified special equipment inspection organization. Liaoyang Jinding Cryogenic Equipment Co., Ltd. can provide supporting safety valve calibration services for users.
