During aluminum alloy smelting, the molten aluminum dissolves hydrogen and carries oxide inclusions. After high-purity argon is blown in, the bubbles adsorb hydrogen and oxide inclusions as they rise, carrying impurities out of the liquid surface, improving aluminum alloy purity and reducing casting porosity defects.
After argon blowing degassing, the hydrogen content of molten aluminum can be reduced to below 0.1ml/100gAl, increasing the casting qualification rate by more than 15%; argon is inert and safe, does not react with molten aluminum, and is the standard process for aluminum alloy refining.
